A prominent member of the Qadiani Ahmadiyya branch of Canadahttp://www.qarchives.com/ahmadiyyanews/Dar_Profile.html, Mubashar Dar started a campaign to 'democratize' the election of their leaders and give them a non-restricted media outlet. He accomplished the latter through a web site by the name of ahmadiyyanews.
As is usual with such dissenters, he only realized the enormity of the issues once he had broken free of the rigid system or [Nizam] as it is known. At first, he advocated free elections for the Canadian branch, but as the depth of the issue sunk in, he rebelled against the whole electoral system of the Qadiani Ahmadiyya.
His writings echoed with Qadianis. He passed away in December 2006, and his site is archived at on this site
